The Fives Beach Hotel and Residence Tour - Things To Know Before You StayGuests love the resort's kids facilities and swimming pools. Property is about 5 miles away from downtown Playa del Carmen. The food is excellent, the drinks are great, the room (more like an apartment!) was fantastic and there are so many swimming pools we didn't. The Fives Beach Hotel & Residences draws mixed reviews, with guests often disappointed by additional costs which detract from the perceived value of their stay.
